Bio: I am a literary translator from Norway, but left the country in 1999. After several years in the UK and in France, I settled in the US with my American husband and two children in 2006. I still have very strong ties to my birth country, both through my family and friends and through my work. I try my best to straddle the two cultures I am rooted in, but am basically a stranger both here and there. The background image for the blog shows the first page of my translation of Amy Bloom: Away. The chapter heading reads, aptly: "Og der mistet jeg en gyllen fjær i et fremmed, fremmed land/And Lost There, a Golden Feather in a Foreign, Foreign Land."
